English & Theatre offers a fantastic mix of English lessons and performing arts workshops, developing your confidence with language both inside and outside the classroom.
* The age range is 11-17. However, we may occasionally accept a younger or older student from the same school year as someone else in the group.

Lessons are enjoyable and fast-paced, and are designed to build your confidence with spoken English. Our syllabus is specially designed for students aged 11-17. Topics and language points change on a weekly basis, meaning you can start and finish your course any week. Classwork also links with trips and other cultural activities on your programme. Lessons may alternate between morning and afternoon on a weekly basis – see your centre timetable for details.
Students’ Course Objectives
To develop your confidence in communicating in English,
To improve your skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
To learn about British culture, particularly in relation to trips and other events on your activities programme
To develop your soft skills such as problem-solving, leadership and teamwork
To showcase what you have learnt through weekly projects
9 hours of performing arts activities per week
Our lively and engaging theatre workshops help you develop your skills as a singer, dancer and actor. You will learn how to warm up your voice and body, improve pronunciation and diction, and bring a text to life.
During the sessions, you will explore the music, stories and popular characters such as Harry Potter, Moulin Rouge and Hamilton. At the end of each week, you will have the opportunity to perform your work to your peers, either live or as a recorded performance.
Theatre is not only enjoyable but also an effective way to improve your English, and we look forward to giving you a truly memorable experience.

On our fun-filled activities programme you will discover some of the top tourist destinations in the UK, such as London, Oxford and Bath (see your centre timetable for trip destinations). You will also take part in a wide variety of other activities such as discos, parties, sports and creative workshops. Many have a learning element and all are designed to help you make friends and activate your English.
