It is suitable for students of all levels from Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1), but please note it is not suitable for complete beginners.
Our syllabus is specially designed so you can start any week. Lessons cover speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, plus grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and study skills, with topics changing weekly.
We do not follow a coursebook but instead use a wide range of teaching resources, and we provide you with all lesson materials.

Do you want to focus on specific skills, but don’t have much time? Our afternoon modules provide you with the opportunity to focus on specific skills. Each afternoon there is a different topic (pronunciation, exam skills, academic skills, business and conversation).
Each module is 1.5 hours per week.
Each week you cover a different topic related to your chosen area.
Each of these courses has an individual 5-week syllabus, which allows you to grow in confidence as you learn.

Teaching days are Monday to Friday.
Your timetable will be one of the following:
9.30 – 13.00 for General English 2 (15 hrs/week)
9.30 – 15.30 for General English 3 (22.5 hrs/week)
14.00– 15.30 for Afternoon Modules only (7.5 hrs/week)
* Please note: the Lewis School is open for classes every week from Monday to Friday except on the following days: UK Public Holidays 2020: 10 April, 13 April, 8 May, 25 May, 31 August
Christmas Closure 2020-21: the school closes on 19 December 2020 and reopens on 4 January 2021

On your first day, you will meet our staff and we will give you a written and oral placement test. We will also provide you with a Welcome Pack, explain important information about the school, and take you on a tour of the city.
