Southampton Year-Round Junior Centre

Why wait until the summer!

We welcome junior groups all year round at the Lewis School of English, Southampton. Our groups stay for 1-4 weeks and choose either a set programme or they choose to build their own.

Based at the Lewis School of English

Any age from 8 upwards

January to Mid-June & Mid-August to December

Classic Year-Round

5 hours of lessons per week
1 half-day trip & 1 full-day trip per week

5 hours of lessons per week
12 hours of performing arts activities per week
1 half-day trip & 1 full-day trip per week

5 full days per week combining classroom work and local visits

We will work with you to create a tailor-made programme to address your specific needs.

Homestay Accommodation

Staying with a host gives you a more immersive experience of the local language and culture. We also find that many students and hosts stay in touch long after the summer ends! Travel to the junior centre is by public bus and our staff will take you to the bus stop every day after lessons/activities finish. Please note: the recommended minimum age for homestay is 13.

Residential Accommodation (*)

The Deanery is a modern residence 12 minutes’ walk from the campus and 7 minutes from the city centre shops. All meals are taken on campus at the dining hall. [Download sample menu]

Bed linen and towels provided (laundry of bed linen and towels included)
For washing of clothes, there is a coin- or card-operated laundry. Students are required to pay for use of the laundry.
