It is accredited at Level 5 on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). Our course provides you with an excellent foundation for a career in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). One important feature of the Trinity CertTESOL is that it includes a minimum of 6 hours classroom teaching and at least 10 hours of classroom observations of both peers and qualified teachers.

Full-Time or Part-Time
Our CertTESOL course is taught by qualified and experienced trainers here in Southampton and provides candidates with a highly practical grounding in teaching techniques and methodology.
The full-time course is an intensive four-week course, with 30 hours of contact time per week.
The part-time course is 12 weeks long, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and most Saturdays (all day).
Same qualification
You will get the same qualification as if you’d done a traditional face-to-face course. This means you’ll receive exactly the same certificate and the same highly-valued qualification.
Same content and same assessment
You will have the same amount of contact hours in the virtual classroom with your tutors, cover exactly the same curriculum and complete the same assignments.
Same tutor support
You will still have the same level of tutor support and guidance.
Same teaching practice
You will still complete six hours of assessed teaching practice, but in an online classroom rather than a face-to-face classroom.
Plus, you will learn to teach online!
This is fast becoming an advantageous and favourable skill among employers, and one which the traditional face-to-face course does not include! There will be comparisons between online and face-to-face teaching, and you will learn a lot of transferable techniques and skills during the course. This means that you will feel equally as prepared to teach in a physical classroom at the end of the course!

Professional and Career Developments Loans
We are approved by the Professional and Careers Development Loan organisation as a learning provider for CertTESOL. This means that you can, if eligible, apply for a loan to help pay for your CertTESOL course at our training centre.Professional and Career Development Loans are commercial bank loans that you can use to help pay for work-related learning. You can borrow between £300 and £10,000 to help support the cost of up to two years of learning (or three years if it includes one year’s relevant unpaid practical work). The Government will pay the interest on the loan while you are learning and for one month afterwards. You will then need to start repaying the loan as you would any other commercial loan product. You can use the loan to pay course fees or other costs such as travel and living expenses. You can also use the loan to supplement other forms of support such as grants or bursaries. As the Professional and Career Development Loan is a commercial loan product, you should make sure you have investigated all the funding options that may be open to you to ensure you take an informed decision about whether the loan is right for you. For further information on financial assistance to support your learning, please visit the GOV.UK website or contact the National Careers Service on 0800 100 900. Our learning provider identification number is 10237.
