It is vital that we receive all the information for the departure and arrival at least one week before the flight.

If you are staying in residential accommodation, arrival and departure times can be flexible. However, for homestay, please be aware that hosts are not always prepared to or able to accept arrivals and departures during unsociable hours, namely 22.00 – 07.00 (this refers to arrival/departure time at the homestay, not at the airport – please see the estimated transfer times on the previous page). When choosing flights, please bear in mind that late arrivals and very early departures from homestay may require us to find you temporary alternative accommodation on arrival/departure days. This is likely to result in significant extra cost

If your child is under 16, please check the airline’s regulations relating to ‘unaccompanied minors’. Different airlines have different policies and age limits for young persons. We can then ensure that we follow the correct procedures for your child’s arrival and departure. In some cases extra costs may be incurred. See ‘Airport UM Service’ below.

Car/MPV transfers include travel and parking. Arrival transfers also include a driver meet and greet.
Coach/minibus transfers include travel and parking

Groups of 9+ arriving into Heathrow (LHR) or Gatwick (LHR) – mandatory
Groups of 9+ arriving into other airports – optional
Individuals and small groups arriving by car/MPV – not required

A meet and greet service for groups can be arranged for groups of 9 or more. This service will meet the group in the arrivals hall and take them to the transfer coach. This is mandatory for group arrivals of 9 or more at London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW) and will be automatically added to the transfer fee. At other airports it is an optional service and group leaders may choose to do this themselves. Individuals and small groups arriving by car or MPV are personally met by the driver so do not need an extra meet and greet service.

(*) An additional £30 will be charged for car/MPV transfers for flights arriving between 22.00 and 05.00. Please note the “Flight Time Restrictions” above, which apply to homestay students.

20% will be added to the transfer fee for any coach or minibus pick-ups between 22.00 and 04.00.

An extra £10 is charged for each additional drop-off or pick-up to homestay locations. This applies to small group car or MPV arrivals taken directly to their accommodation addresses.

After one hour following the landing time, you will be charged £45 per hour pro rata for any delays. This is to cover the cost of parking and the driver’s time.

The driver takes the student to the check-in queue, stays with them until they have checked in and takes them to security

Option 3 – UM Service (Unaccompanied Minors): £80
Many airline companies require that children under 16 are checked in at the airport by an adult, who must accompany the
child until one hour before departure. The School will arrange this service if the student is under 16 and taking a flight to/
from the UK without an adult accompanying them. This is a mandatory service with a one-off fee of £80 that covers both
the arrival and the departure. The service includes the following.

On arrival at the airport:
the airline staff will meet the student and accompany him/her to meet the driver

For the departure flight:
the driver will accompany the student to the check-in desk and introduce him/her to the airline staff
the driver will wait at the airport until the plane leaves
