Dear Friends and Partners,
It is with heavy heart that we have decided today to cancel all junior summer programmes as published on our website and brochures. The COVID-19 lockdown has created many uncertainties for all of us. We are keen to watch the re-opening of schools here in UK in June and to see how fast the social distancing restrictions are subsequently lifted – until we get back to the point where normal face-to-face teaching is practical.
Our best guess for re-opening Lewis School for face-to-face teaching and social activities would be September – clearly subject to any social distancing restriction prevailing at that time.
Meanwhile, as an alternative, we are offering a range of online courses during the summer months designed to suit the needs of teenagers.
Online teaching is certainly no substitute for the beneficial overseas experience which students wish to have. However, it does keep them in touch with the living language and the chance to make international ‘virtual’ friends.
So we now plan for summer 2021and we very much hope you will join us in that venture
