Fees – Junior Programmes

The fees below refer to our Summer Programmes. For Year-Round Programme fees, please contact us.
Please note: a supplementary fee applies to certain programmes – see below.

Included in all programmes

15 hours of English lessons per week (except Theatre Camp & Art Camp)
Weekly trips as indicated on the centre timetable
Daytime and evening activities as indicated on the centre timetable
Residential programme: full board (all meals on campus)
Homestay programme: full board, including hot lunch on school days and hot dinner on evenings with an activity.
Bus pass for homestay students where applicable

Programme availability and minimum numbers
All programmes are subject to availability and minimum numbers. In the event of a programme being cancelled, we will offer an alternative course or a refund in line with the preferences stated on your booking form.

All courses are subject to an enrolment fee of GBP 65. The enrolment fee must be paid at the time of booking.

Homestay deposita non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total invoice value is payable at the time of booking. Our recommended minimum age for homestay students in Southampton is 13. Junior homestay students share a room. This can be with students of the same or different nationality according to your wishes.
Homestay students are given a bus pass and our
activity leaders take them to the bus stop after lessons or activities have finished.

 

Residential deposit: A non-refundable deposit of GBP 45 per student per night is payable at the time of booking.

Please note: All programmes are subject to availability and minimum numbers. If a programme is cancelled, we will offer a refund or an alternative – see Conditions of Enrolment.

Payment

Individual students pay a £65 enrolment fee when booking. A non-refundable deposit is also required:

  • Homestay: 10% of the total invoice
  • Residential accommodation: £50 per student, per night

The remaining balance must be paid 40 days before the course starts. For later bookings, full payment is due when booking. These deposits are non-refundable. Visit our HOW TO PAY page for details on how to pay.

Cancellation by the student

For online or email bookings, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period. You can cancel during this time and receive a refund, less bank charges and any services already used.

*For homestay cancellations less than seven days before arrival, one week’s accommodation is also charged.

 

Refunds

  • All unused homestay accommodation fees are refundable, except for cancellations less than seven days before arrival (see above).
  • There are no refunds for early departure, absence or public holidays.
  • Insurance fees are non-refundable.
  • If the Student’s visa application is rejected and the School receives written evidence at least seven days before arrival, the School will refund the course fees in full but will retain the enrolment fee of £65. Written evidence of the visa refusal must be provided. The £65 enrolment fee is not refunded, and further charges apply if evidence is received less than seven days before arrival.
  • Agreed refunds are normally paid within four weeks. Card payments can only be refunded to the same card.

Cancellation by the school

If the School cancels a programme, we will offer an alternative or a refund. Travel costs are not refunded, except for taxi transfers booked through the School.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that all students have fully comprehensive insurance to cover them in case of accident or emergency. We can arrange insurance through Howden – visit our junior insurance page for details.

English & Football Camp – supplementary fee of GBP 120 per week.

Special Diets in Homestay Accommodation – If you require a vegan, Halal, coeliac or lactose-free diet, you will be charged an extra £30 per week. Please note: there is no extra fee for a vegetarian or no pork diet.
