Hi there! I’m Tom.
I’ve been at the working at the Lewis School of English in both teaching and marketing for over 20 years.
I originally qualified as a teacher of French at secondary school, but soon fell in love with teaching English as a foreign language here in the UK, as it was a chance to meet people from all around the world.
Although I’ve been based in the UK for many years, I’m very fortunate to have had the chance to travel as a teacher trainer. As a specialist in engaging students using free online resources, I’ve been a speaker at teacher training events in 12 different countries.
I’m particularly passionate about learner engagement and creativity in teaching – developing materials, exploiting and adapting ready-made resources and maximising opportunities for pronunciation practice.
