An Exciting Project for 2021
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be supporting English teachers in Honduras after submitting a winning bid for a national project.
Teachers at the Lewis School will help improve the confidence and English skills of the teachers in Honduras by working with them online over the coming months.
Our winning bid is part of the PRELIM (Partnered Remote Language Improvement) programme run by the British Council, English UK and IATEFL. The programme pairs accredited language centres in the UK with English teacher associations in 20 different countries. These include Argentina, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Georgia, Guinea Bissau, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and many more. We’re proud to be one of the 17 centres selected to take part in this programme.
Led by Abby, our Academic Director, the Lewis School’s project involves designing and delivering an online course in collaboration with HELTA, the Honduran English Language Teachers’ Association. All schools involved in the programme will also be working with each other to create a community of ideas-sharing and support.
We’re greatly looking forward to working with everyone in Honduras and to delivering a productive and engaging course.
