We’re always delighted when our students come back to say hello. We like to think that once you’ve studied here, you’re part of our family forever!
Here are some of our former students who came to visit us in the past few months. They were students here in the 2020s, 2010s, the 2000s and even the 1980s!
Martha, who studied here in the 1980s
First, here’s Martha from Colombia, who was here in 1985 when Mr Lewis was the director. We made a short video of her describing the Lewis School of 39 years ago, and added a few of our old photos. Several members of the current Lewis School team – Alistair, Andrew, Jung-A, Sandy and Tom – were here in the 1990s, but none go as far back as 1985, so it was a very special surprise to meet Martha!
Omer and Huseyin, who studied here in the 2000s
Omer and Huseyin – both from Turkey – were both here in the year 2000. Here are photos of Omer with Alistair and Huseyin with Tom, who was his teacher all those years ago!
Omer also shared some of his photos from nearly 25 years ago.
Arjun, Jay and Ali, who studied here in the 2010s
We were also delighted to see Arjun from India, who was here in 2015, and Jay from China, who was a student here from 2016 to 17.
Ali from Turkey also popped in. He shared with us some photos from when he was a student here in 2010. You may recognise Andrew, Suzie and Suzie’s daughter Amy in his photos.
Alisa, Rafael and Gloria, who studied here in 2022 & 2023
Rafael and Gloria from Hong Kong studied with us in 2022 and 2023. Rafael came to see us and very kindly brought along a beautiful flower arrangement made by Gloria. Alisa, who was here is 2023, popped in to say hello just as we were doing a Halloween photo shoot! Here she is with Suzie and Jon.
Jibran, who returned for another course!
Finally, a special mention to Jibran from Pakistan, who was here as a junior student in 2018, and who came back to study with us at our adult school last month.
