Police Registration

Foreign nationals aged 16 or over, from the countries listed below, have to register with the Police upon arrival in the UK.

How can I register?

Our reception staff will help you to set up an account and make an appointment at the Nationalities office in Winchester.

What do I need to take?

•    Your passport or travel documents
•    A letter of acceptance from the school
•    The registration fee of £34

What if I change my address later?

You can visit your local Police station to pass on this information.

Working During your Studies

If you have a Short-Term Student Visa, you are not normally allowed to work.
If your passport says: ‘No work or recourse to public funds’ or ‘No recourse to public funds. Work prohibited’, you are not allowed to do any work, paid or unpaid.
If you are not sure, please ask Reception.
