A New Profession
Is this the profession for you? Well, we’re glad you’re thinking about it – we certainly love it!
We’d advise anybody considering a career in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) to look into the Trinity CertTESOL, which we offer here at Lewis. A Level 5 qualification on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), it provides an excellent foundation for a teaching career and is a world-renowned qualification for initial TEFL training which will open doors to employment opportunities the world over.
However, with little or no exposure to English language teaching, taking the step towards this profession can be a daunting decision to make, especially considering the commitment of time and money it requires.
Helping You Decide
Our one-day TEFL taster course is designed to help you to decide whether to journey onwards into this industry. Join us on one of our Thursday or Saturday courses where you will:
1) gain some insight into the EFL industry
2) find out about the life of an EFL teacher
3) learn about the kind of training you’ll need to become an EFL teacher
4) further develop your knowledge of English language systems
5) receive some teacher training on classroom management techniques
After attending the day you are under no obligation to apply for a place on our CertTESOL course. However, if you decide to enrol on our CertTESOL course, the cost of your TEFL Taster Day will be deducted from your course fee.
